Latest SONA delivered by President Aquino

Last July 27, 2015 at Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City, the man of the hour, President Benigno Aquino III delivered his sixth and presumably his last state of the nation address (SONA).

It was the longest SONA delivered by President Aquino in his entire term. The speech lasted for about an hour and fifteen minutes. He might have poured all of his conceited accomplishments, tirades and anguish in a form of a lengthy speech.

While applauding his cabinet members for putting into action his promise of “Daang Matuwid” for the Filipinos, he unsurprisingly blamed the previous administration for the headaches that the country is experiencing today.

Technical problems and extended mound of commuters lining up the MRT stations everyday are estimated to be 600,000 strong as they consider the MRT as their primary means of transportation. President Aquino insisted that the antecedent administration is the one to blame for the piteous condition of the MRT ( metro rail transit )today.

As expected, President Aquino defended his DOTC Secretary Joseph Abaya and claimed that the latter should not be blamed for all the MRT problems that are showing up at the moment. He stressed out that the MRTC knowingly forgot and left all of the the obligations behind to the Aquino administration.

He said that the government is doing necessary actions to solve these problems. Such actions includes, the rehabilitation of MRT by purchasing railway lines which was previously disapproved by the MRTC.

“Ang  trabahong pribado, ipinasa saatin. Ang solusyon naman natin, hinarang nila”. President Aquino said.

MRTC denied this accusation later on and admitted that the main reason why the government rejected the proposed project was fund deficiency. They suggested that the budget should be increased in order to finally purchase the railway lines.

President Aquino stood firm by his indictment to pursue the buyout and the rehabilitation process of the MRT. He also mentioned that the DOTC (Department of Transportation and Communications) is working rigidly with the process to solve other problems of the MRT such as the signaling system, the defective trains and the failing railway lines.

The Aquino administration have done a pretty good job in governing the country but it is indeed inappropriate to point fingers to something or to somebody when in fact, they are the ones who actually contributed in making these problems even worse.

They should instead stop whining and concentrate in coordinating and materializing all the possible improvements that they could possibly complete before our great President Benigno Aquino III’s term ends.

The President is Ultimately at Fault in the Massacre of 44 SAF Officers

In the morning of January 25, the President communicated details and orders of Operation Exodus to suspended PNP Chief Alan Purisima and Special Action Force commander GetulioNapenas, doing away with protocol that involved following a chain of command.

By excluding OIC PNP Chief LenoardoEspina and SILG Secretary Manuel Roxas in these communications, he was in clear violation of the PNP’s chain of command.

Despite stating that the chain of command was indeed violated by the President himself, the Board of Inquiry also states that it is the President’s prerogative to break this chain within reason. Exhaustive though the Board of Inquiry’s 120-page report was on the events that transpired in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, they failed to specify the reason for Aquino’s actions.

This violation contributed to a catastrophic event that led to the death of 67 individuals, 44 of which were Special Action Force command officers of the PNP. Since then, the President has heavily placed blame on SAF commander Napenas while refusing to be clearn on Purisima’s inclusion to Oplan Exodus, despite his suspension.

In fact, the BOI report found that the President even gave an inaccurate description of Purisima’s role in the operation.

Only after being revealed that his approval and trust ratings were at an all-time low, President Aquino decided to take responsibility for what had transpired. He owns up to his part in the massacre by stating that all successes and failures that happen within his administration are ultimately on him. Even so, he has yet to apologize for what had happened.

This acceptance now begs the question: what should be done to the President as punishment to hold him accountable for his decisions that resulted with the unspeakable loss now suffered not only by the families of the perished officers, but also the entire nation?

Should he be allowed to attempt regaining the people’s trust, or should he be subjected to an impeachment trial?

Whos behind the Mamasapano Massacre?

Surrendered Philippine National Police (PNP) boss Alan Purisima said he didn't give requests however only exhorted Special Action Force (SAF) boss Getulio Napenas on the operation to catch 2 prominent terrorist targets. At the Senate hearing on Monday, Purisima said Napenas knows extremely well that he can't and ought not take after requests from any individual who is not in the levels of leadership.

Who is really at inadequacy for the early destruction of the 44 Fallen SAF?

Why were the 45th SAF organization at the cornfields in Tukalinapao, where 35 cops butchered, were not given help or backing in as much as there are charged 300 more PNP SAF in the adjacent parkway around 3 kms.away when they asked for fortification? As though the administrator for the entire operation didn't generally do his occupation and where was he right now and what's happening with he?

On the involvement of President Aquino and Purisima

I trust the test is carried out and a Senate request next that would incorporate the PNP SAF officers included , friendly boss Purisima and up to President Noynoy Aquino.

More demand concerning the Philippine National Police Special Action Force operation were raised on Monday, including the relationship of the United States.

In the interim, Sen. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., executive of the Senate Committee on Local Government, said that in light of the confirmation of the police powers, Purisima stayed included in the operation to catch the two sought after terrorists ignoring the way that he was suspended since December of a year former.

I was frustrated and took to long range casual correspondence to voice my stun, bafflement and vulnerability.

I couldn't start to acknowledge how and why the President and those high arranging forces couldn't have known of such an essential mission.

I extravagantly needed for President Aquino to get down from his position in light of the unfortunate inadequacy of sympathy he has demonstrated to the denied family and how he reacted to the entire scene.

I trust the Senate hearing will uncover reality with reference to what truly happen in the Mamasapano occurrence. I prefer not to believe that those dead 44 cops were reparation for that $5million reward. I am certain that they genuinely did take after requests to do their occupation however to be double crosser on their genuineness is really unsuitable.

Who is truly at shortcoming for their sudden death.

Government's Rehab Program for Yolanda

Typhoon Haiyan, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda was recorded by world meteorologists as the strongest storm.

It has been a year....it devastated portions of Central Philippines, on November 8, 2013.

Recently, the people from Leyte offered prayers in the memory of their loss. Survivors of Typhoon Yolanda in this devastated city marks the first anniversary of the killer storm.

Known to be the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record killing about 6,300 people alone. About 4 million went homeless.

Guiuan, Samar, Tanauan, Palo and Tacloban were the most devastated.

Tacloban is one of the hardest hit city. After a year they still struggle rebuilding their homes.

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) reportedly released a total of P52 billion to support government relief and rehabilitation efforts in affected provinces.

Also in the news is the strong political conflict which rooted from the issue - President Pnoy is an Aquino and the Tacloban Mayor is a Romualdez.

And that help supposedly to rebuild Tacloban was not provided.

I saw the situation in Tacloban and that support given as seen on TV was not 100% true.

During my stay in Tacloban last September I directly heard personal stories of the people from Tacloban.

According to them, there's really big help but it is not coming from the local government.

Many are disappointed because of the slow response. Plus there are people saying that the true death count is much more than what is recorded.

...that President Aquino choose to bring donations to Palo instead in Tacloban.

...that when President Aquino went to Tacloban he didn't stay that long. He was not sincere to know the real situation.

It is the non-government organizations coming from other countries who are giving them help.

One of the most active NGO's are Tzu Chi Foundation and GMA Foundation.

Local government has provided transitional homes as temporary comfort.

They distributed hectares for relocation, but still the national government shows a lot of deficiencies

It only shows that they have not yet acted on providing permanent houses.

After a year the people needs true help. This is a call to the government to give assistance and forget about the political issues.
